1. Who we are
Kin Domestic Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202638815Z, EA Licence No. 26C3706) (“Kin Domestic”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is an employment agency in Singapore. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). It applies to this website (www.kindomestic.com) and to our domestic helper placement services.
2. Personal data we collect
From employers and enquirers: your name, phone number, email address, household details (such as home type, number of people and care needs), the helper you are interested in, and anything else you tell us through our enquiry form, WhatsApp, email or phone. If you engage our services, we also collect the information needed to apply for a work permit and arrange insurance and medical checks, as required by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
From helpers: the information in their biodata (such as first name, age, nationality, experience, skills, languages, photo and optional introduction video), and the documents needed for their employment and work permit.
When you visit this website: our hosting provider and the services this website uses (listed in section 5) may automatically receive technical information such as your IP address and browser type. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
3. How we use personal data
We use personal data to:
- respond to your enquiries and recommend suitable helpers;
- arrange interviews, work permit applications, medical checks, insurance and doorstep handover;
- manage our service agreements, fees and replacements;
- comply with MOM requirements and other legal obligations; and
- improve our services.
We will not use your personal data for marketing unless you have agreed to it, and you can opt out at any time.
4. Helper biodata published on this website
Helper biodata is published only with the helper’s consent. We publish only what is needed for employers to choose a helper, and we never publish passport, FIN or work permit numbers, exact dates of birth, addresses or personal contact details. A helper may ask us to remove her profile at any time.
5. Who we share personal data with
We share personal data only where needed for the purposes above, with:
- MOM and other government agencies, as required for work permits and by law;
- insurers, medical clinics and transport or travel providers involved in a placement;
- service providers who support our business, including Zoho (enquiry forms and email), WhatsApp (messaging) and GitHub (website hosting); and
- employers and helpers, to the extent needed to arrange a placement.
We do not sell personal data.
6. Transfers outside Singapore
Some of our service providers may store or process data outside Singapore. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the data receives a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA.
7. How we protect personal data
We take reasonable security measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, use, disclosure, loss or damage, and limit access to staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send NRIC, passport or other identification numbers through this website or our enquiry form.
8. How long we keep personal data
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes it was collected for, or as required by law or for legal and business purposes. After that, we securely delete or anonymise it.
9. Your rights
You may ask us to:
- give you access to your personal data we hold, and how it has been used or disclosed in the past year;
- correct personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete; or
- stop using your personal data by withdrawing your consent. This may affect our ability to provide our services.
Please send your request to our Data Protection Officer (section 12). We will respond as soon as reasonably possible, generally within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity, and may charge a reasonable fee for access requests as permitted by the PDPA.
